I was very fortunate to begin working with several South African Knife Makers many years ago, I am continually impressed with the Quality of their knives and the value they offer. In my journey as a knife dealer several SA Makers have introduced me to other SA Makers and the list of quality knives that I sell from that country continues to grow.
The newest addition to my website is South African Knife Makers Guild member Johann van Deventer. His work has been featured in SA magazines devoted to Hunting but recently he has also worked hard at making folding knives of various kinds.

This is a wonderful NEW Model from JD Van Deventer. This big knife has a very unique appearance – it is an XL Model and one of the Best Flippers that JD has designed – this is the CRUZ Flipper in carbon fiber.
The Hand Rubbed N690 blade flips open absolutely effortlessly due to the IKBS system and JD’s precision balance on the blade.
Fully contoured Carbon Fiber handles, Deeply Milled with Stippled Texture, precision fit to the Titanium Frame. The toughest in materials for this powerhouse Flipper!
Johann has also added a Custom Titanium Backspacer over the carved and anodized Titanium Liner.
The blade opens very smoothly and the Lock up is spot on and releases smoothly.
