This special Large Friction Folder has a blade made from Takeda’s Aogami Supersteel ~ however the most eye catching feature is the Incredible Sambar Stag handle scales
*The embargo on the Export of Stag from India is now over a Decade old, Stag of this quality is GONE from todays market.
An amazing knife in design and function, simple yet elegant.
A Friction Folder is the oldest of folding knife designs, ancient Viking Age Friction Folders (or Penny Knives as they were called) were used in Ancient Rome where they were a standard item for men of wealth and privilege!
The blade is perfectly centered when closed, it can be opened using the Extended Tang.
For those that are worried about the blade closing due to not having a Lock, this knife is for you since it has a very strong action, no chance of closing on your fingers accidentally.
When opened, the Tongue is recessed into the handle.
Hiroaki chose the Beautiful Stag handles with care, they match almost perfectly. Also he opted to include a Black Micarta Pivot cover so as not to detract from the beauty of the Stag Handles.
Hiroaki makes his own Thick Leather Sheaths for every knife, this one is special in that it has a Kydex Liner as well as a generous length of Paracord for neck wear.
This sheath holds the knife very securely, there is No Chance of it falling out when upside down around your neck. Hiroaki also Hand Crafts the Rosewood Ball that serves as a Cinch on the Paracord!
