HIROAKI OHTA

Hiroaki Ohta has been hand crafting knives since 1989 and began making Full Time in 1998.  His folding knives are prized the world over for their precision and beauty.  Hiroaki Ohta’s knives have been featured in the KNIVES Annuals and appeared in BLADE magazine last year.

Fort Henry Custom Knives is proud to be a direct Dealer for Hiroaki Ohta hand made knives

~ Direct from the Maker from the Blade Show 2018 ~

This Large Custom Slipjoint by Hiroaki has beautiful Hand Contoured Ironwood handles.

Buttery smooth action, a Half Stop and excellent blade seating when locked open. Hiroaki makes the handles of his knives slim so they fit in the hand very comfortably. This knife has a blade spring / pull Tension of approx 7.5 to 8  (on a scale of 1 – 10).

The knife has full Carbon Fiber liners under the Ironwood handles, this allows for plenty of strength but still a very light weight

The blade is perfectly centered and no play in any direction. Hiroaki has added some nice Custom Filework to the back of the Spring.

The Stabilized Desert Ironwood is extremely well matched and has a nice high polish to show off the natural Grain and rich Dark Color

This is the actual knife you will receive, top shelf fit and finish, simple yet elegant.

Hiroaki makes his own Leather Pocket Sheaths for every knife, well stitched and holds the knife securely.
