  Here is another Sole Authorship piece from Herb, he Forged it with a straight Spine blade and a Wide Drop Point tip in some of his best Bird’s Eye Damascus.  This is a knife with artistic attributes, but I guarantee it will perform as good as it looks.  

   Herb explained that his high contrast Birds Eye Carbon Damascus blades have over 2,500 layers.  Herb has expertly Forged this bold Birdseye Pattern, and it is repeated throughout the steel so it is similar on both sides.  The blade on this tough Skinner is 1  1/4″ Wide!

The knife has a comfortable Full Grip handle of 10,000 Year Old Stabilized Wooly Mammoth Bone – beautiful natural color and deposits.  This handle is smooth and fills the hand very comfortably.  The rich colored handle is flanked by Nickel Silver Spacers and a Buckeye Burl forward spacer!

On this knife Herb has also added some Vine Filework on almost the entire length of the Spine which looks great but serves a dual purpose of also replacing Thumb Ridges for grip enhancement. 

 The Heavy Leather sheath has Cane Toad Skin as the inlay.  Herb also added some Custom Tooling around the mouth of the Sheath. Nice snug fit and a wonderful compliment to the knife.
