I have been a Dealer for Herb Derr Custom knives for over a decade, long before I had a website I sold Herb’s knives at Knife Shows and Gun Shows, often to repeat Customers. Herb’s pieces are sole authorship ~ he forges his own Damascus, grinds his own blades, makes his own Leather Sheaths and still finds time to Teach courses at a Community College on how to make Damascus.

I was Herb’s First Customer at the Show this year and I hand picked the best from his Table.
This special knife has Herb’s NEW High Carbon Twist Pattern Damascus that is over 2,500 layers thick and a gorgeous Sambar Stag handle.
This beautiful SStabilized Zebra Leg Bone handle has dark grain and wonderful natural coloring. It fills the hand nicely! The Leg Bone is flanked by Nickel Silver Spacers and a thick Stabilized Maple Burl spacer for color.
On this knife Herb has also added some Vine Filework on the Spine which looks great but has a dual purpose of also replacing Thumb Ridges for grip enhancement.
A beautiful knife with some great new Blade material that is as much an Art form as it is utilitarian.
The Heavy Leather RH Belt sheath has an exotic Sea Snake Skin inlay. The knife rides snug and deep to prevent loss.
