I have been a Dealer for Herb Derr Custom knives for over a decade, long before I had a website I sold Herb’s knives at Gun & Knife Shows, most often to repeat Customers. Herb’s pieces are sole authorship ~ he forges his own Damascus, grinds his own blades, makes his own Leather Sheaths and still finds time to Teach courses at a Community College on how to make Damascus.

Here is a unique, innovative creation from Herb ~ a knife that is easily carried, quickly accessible and a wonderful way to showcase Herb’s work to those you meet.
Herb explained that his high contrast Birds Eye Damascus blades have over 2,500 layers. The knife has a comfortable Full Grip handle of Stabilized African Giraffe Bone. This material is very dense and has beautiful Natural deposits of color.
The Single Piece Stabilized Giraffe Bone handle is flanked by Nickel Silver Spacers and a Stabilized Maple Burl forward spacer which compliments the handle very well.
On this knife Herb has expertly polished the handle and contoured the Nickel Silver Guard for a very comfortable grip. The Beautiful Damascus Wharncliff Blade is approx 1/8″ Thick and has enough cutting edge for any everyday chore.
The Giraffe Bone is Large enough for a Full, comfortable Grip.
The Heavy Leather Neck sheath has an Amazing Feature – Herb has embedded a Strong Rare Earth Magnet inside the back of the sheath!
The knife rides deeply enough inside the Thick Leather sheath so that the cutting edge is covered.
The Rare Earth Magnet is extremely strong, you cannot even shake the knife out! Plenty of MilSpec Paracord and a Slide adjuster are included.
