Here is a gorgeous Custom Hunter I just received from Dan, this Classic Drop Point has some Rare Attributes
This special knife has a crisp Full Height Flat Ground blade of D2 Steel which has a higher polish than Dan’s normal knives. Dan uses the same Heat Treat formula as his mentor ~ the “Dr of D2” – Bob Dozier! Their D2 is world renowned for its extremely Keen Edge Holding ability.
A Beautiful and comfortable handle of Rare Sambar Stag – this type of Quality material is extremely hard to find in today’s market. Dan has also added some Custom Thumb Ridges to the Spine for extra security.
This is a Full Tang Hunter with a contoured handle, slightly thicker in the middle, it fills the palm but it is not too wide.
The Handle scales are well matched with Dark, Gnarly Grain and excellent size and color.
Dan does not make many knives these days so they are very hard to get.
Hair shaving sharp (as expected) and comes in a tight RH Horizontal Cross Draw Kydex Sheath.
