This is Allen’s newest Fixed Blade design, dubbed “The Jack” as it sports the U.S.M.C. Recon Jack of All Trades symbol
I never ran into Allen while serving in the Corps but I did train with a few Recon Marines ~ the toughest of the tough without a doubt.
This bold blade is made of High End Crucible CPM-M4 steel (a steel favored by many knife Makers for their own personal knives) with a uniform Cerakote surface coat to help resist corrosion. It has a Full Height Hollow Grind and a Subtle swedge on the Spine.
The Jack of All Trades Logo and the Elishewitz logo both appear on the blade, the JOAT logo indicates this knife is from a Mid-Tech run.
The handles are a special Three Piece construction, the outer Scales being Milled G-10 with the Middle being Red G-10 ~ which represents the U.S.M.C Blood Stripe that a Marine earns when he picks up NCO Status.
The Tang runs approx 3/4 of the way into the Handle and the handles are secured with 4 Hidden Steel Hardened Pins as well as Structural Adhesive. The knife has a Double Guard and the G-10 Handle has Full Traction Ridges along the entire length.
The sheath is a very thick Cordura with molded Kydex Liner, multi Position and very versatile. Complete with Paracord Leg Tie Down and Front Tool / Stone pouch with velcro closure.
The sheath was crafted by Hogue Industries and has multiple Loops and Snaps.
