Bowie Knives

At Fort Henry Custom knives I strive to offer as many types of knives as I can and that includes Bowie knives. At times our selection of Bowie knives is low due to the high demand of both Production Bowie knives and Custom Bowie knives.  When they arrive they quickly sell out. 

I am particularly interested in Custom Bowie knives that replicate what James Bowie carried and used to kill Maj. Norris Wright in the now infamous Sandbar Fight which of course gave birth to the Bowie legend.   After all,  when every kid dreams of the ultimate knife to take into the jungle or the the woods doesn't the Bowie knife spring first to mind?   

Rudy Ruana used to make an excellent rendition of the original Bowie Knife, I have one in my personal Bowie knife collection.

The Bowie knife is a uniquely American knife and though the Bowie knife is produced around the world I am interested in only those Bowie knives made by Custom Makers or production companies in the U.S. 

Western States Cutlery made an excellent example of the Bowie knife - the W-49.  Many young man grew up seeing a Western Bowie knife hanging on a plaque in his Father's Den.  That knife sparked dreams of grand adventure.
