FORT HENRY CUSTOM KNIVES



   I grew up in rugged mountain terrain and as a true "Appalachian American" I learned to fish, farm and hunt - all of which involved the use of a knife.

I am a Decorated Veteran of the United States Marine Corps.  During my assignments of leading Hard Core Men on Missions in the absolute toughest environments in the world, my Marines and I relied on our Ka-Bar just like thousands of couragous Marines who came before us. In my extensive travels I used my knife in every climate and in many unusual situations.  I know what is important in a Blade and a Sheath.

   In the early 1990's I bought my first Custom Fixed blade.  As the years went by I realized I had somehow inexplicably accumulated a large collection of knives. Has this ever happened to you?    I then began Selling some knives to purchase others.... the rest is history.

   I became a Knife Dealer in 1999. For almost a decade I have been Buying, Selling and Trading in Custom Fixed blade Hunting knives by popular Makers that include but are not limited to - Harry Morseth, John N. Cooper, Bob Dozier, Rudy Ruana, Randall Made Knives, Herb Derr, Wayne Hendrix, Randy Lee, D'Alton Holder, Bob Lay, Daniel Crotts, Geno Denning and many others.

      I am an avid Outdoorsman.  I enjoy Fishing, Hiking and Camping and Competitive Marksmanship.  I am a student of Knife history and I enjoy learning about the Makers who pioneered the custom knife making industry. I am a writer and occasionally submit an article for publication on a Maker or knife that I find particularly interesting. I am also a reluctant Knife Maker, I have been fortunate enough to spend time in the Shops of several well known Makers who have attempted to assist me as I progress, though my progress is slow, I say this to illustrate that I understand what a difficult craft knife making can be and I have an intimate knowledge of what goes into a quality fixed blade.

   I love the knife business. However, I limit my dealings to knives that are practical and well built and only dealing with Makers who are honest and offer superior products.  I welcome you again as I'm sure you and I will soon be doing business together.
